#MotherhoodMonday

motherhood

Motherhood Monday is now a thing at Virtuous Mama’s Corner!

I would like to take what I’ve learned about being a mother and share it with you all. Afterall, this is Virtuous MAMA’s Corner!

Plus, Mother’s Day is coming up and I’d like to make this a thing before then.

And I can’t promise that this section will always be rainbows and butterflies, because motherhood isn’t always those things. Motherhood is messy. Motherhood is gritty. Motherhood is tough. Hopefully, this section will help shine light on those things and help you to never forget that you aren’t alone on the path that we like to call: Motherhood.

What is motherhood?

To me, being a mom means having female maternal instincts over a certain being. Technically, I’ve been a mom since I was very little. Mostly, because I’ve had some pets that I’ve felt like I was a mom to and of course I was their mommy!!

Yes, I believe that you can be a mom without actually birthing a child. But, fortunately, I’ve been able to birth two 10lb baby boys. For the past couple of years, I’ve been in charge of two pieces of my heart walking around on the outside of my body. I’ve also owned some furbabies that have challenged my “mom status” even more.

From wiping poop off of butts to picking up some logs off the floor (from both humans and canines), I feel like I’m learning every day. Improving. I’m trying to conquer this lifestyle and I’d LOVE your help!

Are you a mom? I would love to hear what it is that you’d like to hear from this section of my blog!

Advice, antics, tips, or anything about motherhood! Also, if you’re interested in adding a “motherhood article”, I’d love to have it! Email me at virtuousmama@virtuousmama.org!

As always, thank you for reading a piece of my heart! May God bless you and all that you endeavor!

Beautiful post! My three sons are all grown and living far away from home; however, no matter where they are or what is going on in their lives, our mother-son bond is always there. Being a mother is the most precious gift I have ever been given. <3

Yes, being a mother is definitely a blessing! It’s so good to hear that your bond with your boys is still there. I’m always worried about my bond with my boys. Lol

I love this! Especially your quote about your boys being two pieces of your heart walking around on the outside of your body. So sweet!! Thank you for the inspiration.

Thank you, Jenna! I couldn’t think of any other way to describe it. <3

Yes, I am a mom and I can say being a mom is in the same time: wonderful, tiring, amazing, mind-boggling, satisfying, rewarding, disappointing, happy and the list may continue. In any case, it’s not only “la vie en rose”, like the life itself, actually.

Yes, exactly! Thank you for your insight, Perla. 🙂
